Scary Sarah.. The Bait & Switch Candidate

Sarah Palin is the Madison Avenue icon of "average-Mom", it's what's INSIDE that's scary...and that's why she's dangerous..

She is not what she would appear to be.. Typical republican strategy..

History tells us that we can be (and are) fooled again and again..

Republicans no longer have any legitimacy, so they latch onto amorphous "issues" that seek out our inate insecurities and failings:

greed
....1) I want ALL "my" money
....2) I'll take some of YOURS too..
....3) I refuse to share with ANYONE, and how dare you even ASK me to
....4) I should not have to pay taxes because I work hard

lust
....1) I CAN have it all..just because I WANT it, and I DESERVE it

envy
....1) I could have had that job, but he/ she/ they got it because they were black/ female/ asian/ latino/ smarter
....2) I should have gotten into college but (see #1)
....3) I should have that BMW/Caddie/Lexus/Big house but (see#1)

fear
....1) bin Laden's gonna get us
....2) Pakistan scares me
....3) Iran's gonna nuke us
....4) Russia wants to take over the world

racism
....1) America is for white people
....2) Non-whites have no right to exist
....3) If "they" were gone, my life would be better
....4) Immigrants are stealing all the jobs

religion
....1) MY god is the ONLY god
....2) YOUR god sucks
....3) God only loves America
....4) It's okay to hate people who don't believe in MY god.
....5) It's MY responsibility to convert everyone to my god
....6) Abortion is a sin in MY faith, so NO ONE can have one

The republicans with money (usually the old ones), cannot run the way they used to..and it shows.. Mccain is uncomfortable with his OWN campaign.. They used to run on fiscal conservancy, and everyone with money "understood" what that meant. It meant a low-key approach to spending, and a revved up business approach.

Those folks can no longer win without the help of their fringe folks, because we all DID learn that the old republicanism does not work.. The new one does not either, but when it's all stewed together with the other kooks they adopted along the way, they can manage to drum up votes from all of them..

It's almost painful to watch, but they have still managed to fool enough of us (with the help of lots of election chicanery), to rule over us from a minority position...for a very long time.. They are very the Sunni minority who ruled Iraq for three decades. from a 30% position..
