7. HEY!!!!! I'm old, but I hate AOL and support Obama/Biden!
I'm surprised that anybody is still sticking with AOL! All I hear are complaints from people that sites they want are blocked for no reason! I think they served a good purpose years ago when lots of newbies were getting computers and knew NOTHING! But for the most part, those days are gone!

Just quit picking on us old folks!

13. It's these kids on DU nowadays.....no respect for us old folks
If I didn't help organize VVAW campus protest riots in the early '70s, these kids might ALL be in GITMO now getting waterboarded for bad mouthing King George.

Don't let them get to ya. They're just not Groovy like us. :hippie:

23. I'm old too..
And loathe AOL.

.. but I know a lot of people who "don't want to change".

:)

And I was just talking about the internet.

I'm sure AOL does skew old.

4. They are sheep by definition
I know, I was one of them. have you ever tried to quit them? LOL, they do everything they can to hang onto you. You practically have to get a new ID and be in the witness protection program to quit them. They keep sending bills, then send you to a collection agency, like months after you cancel them.

9. At least they think she should sit down for interviews and would like to
learn more about her policies.

And the above posters are right -- the only AOL users I know are people who are really computer/internet un-savvy, or parents of my friends.

12. I only stick with it because
The only reason I stick with them is my service is $24./month and I've had my screen name/email for 10 years+

Sure, I'm old, but would rather not have to start a new email and change it on all my accounts/contacts and most of all, consider Comcast to be a huge rip off at $50./month.

18. The difference between you and many others is, you understand there's
a world beyond AOL. PROOF: You're here! Honestly, the people I know who have it are afraid to venture forth on the internets. It's AOL and their e-mail and that's it.

19. You don't need to pay them....
If you can get internet access, the rest of their service is free. If $50 is too much to pay for high speed internet, get in touch with with your phone company for DSL which is priced somewhere in the middle. It is better than dial-up and doesn't cost as much as Comcast.

AOL = The Internet with training wheels. Some old folks and folks who don't want to change their email addresses are also there.

I highly reccomend that any gamer check out theri video game articles. Written by imbeciles...poorly.

They go out of their way to report negative stories on all Democrats.

25. Wow AOL users are getting beat up LOL
I guess I'll admit I still use AOL and I am 21 lol. I've had it since I was 12 and just never changed my e-mail address. I was reluctant to get rid of it because a lot of my old friends have found me with that address. My mom is 65 and she still uses it sometimes too, but it's the free version. I've been thinking about getting rid of it all together since I have comcast now and because AOL has so many racist, sexist and ignorant nutbags on it. I won't even read the message boards or read the comments for articles because of how nasty people are. Plus McCain has won every poll on there and they seem to hate Obama guts. I've yet to see Obama win any of there stupid polls. They're some decent people on there, but from the link that was posted I took some comments listed which shows the majority of people on there are stupid as hell.

When are they gonna interview Obama about the Federal Lawsuit that states that Obama is not a naturalized citizen and is not eligible to run for president. If that is true, then his taking campaign money constitutes fraud. Where is the media one way or another on this story. Surprisingly absent.

Palin will go to all-liberal all-Democrat Obama-worshipping ABC,but it took Obama two years to brave Fox!There is no real choice for "hope"and "change" in this country except McCain and Palin.Nobama - now way, no how.

I met Barrack Hussein Obama five years ago, and I knew then he wasn't a very bright guy. He got my order screwed up three times, I ordered original recipe not extra crispy, and I wanted white meat not dark. He just needs more damn experience. lololololololol...Obama actually said he admired Palin's daughter because she has so much in common with his own mother, however, her baby won't be half black or full bastard.

Afirmative Action does NOT apply to the presidency! Wake up America! Vote for who is QUALIFIED! McCain/Palin 2008!

08:44 PMSep 08 2008

I GET A KICK OUT OF THE MATURITY OF SOME THE DEMOCRATES. ARE YOU GOING TO TALK LIKE INTELLIGENT PEOPLE OR ARE YOU GOING TO KEEP SPEAKING OF PITBULLS WITH LIPSTICK. I NEVER WAS A STRICT REPUBLICAN. I WOULD LISTEN TO THE DEBATES AND VOTE FOR THE BEST CHOICE FOR OUR COUNTRY. I DID NOT VOTE FOR BUSH EITHER TIME :) NOW I'M FINDING MY SELF LEANING TOWARD BEING A STRICT REPUBLICAN BECAUSE THE DEMOCRATES TALK LIKE TRAILER TRASH. THEY ACT LIKE THEY HAVE NO CLASS AT ALL. THIS IS REAL LIFE, THIS IS FOR OUR COUNRTY AND FOR US. LETS GET SERIOUS AMERICA !

Ok that is the end of the stupidity.
