BINGO !
Edited on Sun Aug-31-08 05:32 AM by SoCalDem
This undated photo provided by the Heath family shows Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin pregnant in Wasilla, Alaska. Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., announced Palin as his vice presidential running mate on Friday, Aug. 29, 2008.

.........................

My guess would be that this was with one of the girls...and we know she's at LEAST 7 months there..

..............................................................................
This pic snapped the day before/of the birth 4-17 or 4-18
by a fellow traveler who was surprised to see her flying coach

5. Because
Wasilla is a very close-knit place and I have NO doubt that Sarah confided in a few trusted friends.. That baby could have been delivered at home with a midwife or a doctor friend making a housecall.. All Sarah needed to do was to get home and sign the birth certificate..

EVERY hospital has entrances that are not "open to the public".. They arrived back in AK after 10:30 at night.. That baby could have been born at 2PM, and it would not have mattered if the girl was not IN the hospital..

They had MONTHS to plan this out and get all their pals lined up.. Her doctor friend is on the government payroll, and that medical center gets loads of state money.. everyone would be willing to "do the governor a favor"..and save the reputation of her poor daughter..and they might even consider it "God's work".

34. The baby was delivered by a doctor in a hospital
The very least you would have to contemplate is

1) crooked doctor falsifying medical records
2) at least one and possibly two nurses in the room
3) every maternity ward nurse on shift for the two days knowingly violating the law with false documentation

That's at a minimum.

7. hey Edwards ran for president knowing he had an affair
This is a might more crazy, but ego can be a massive thing. And this is a sparsely populated state, she has money, who knows? I don't buy it myself, but hell at this point nothing would surprise me. McCain could turn into a werewolf at midnight tomorrow and I'd only bat my eyes long enough to think about if this hurt him or not and then resign myself to thinking the media would cover it up and KO would be the only one to report it.

Probably has to have a massive ego. Honestly, some people think they can get away with anything, just look at the Bush administration. Hell Clinton had an affair in office with a freaking intern even after he knew the Republicans were investigating him every single time somebody slipped on a banana peel. Never underestimate how flawed and arrogant human beings are, especially those who feel untouchable in the first place.

48. Oh! What if the father is a space alien? Or bigfoot?
I don't believe the whole Desperate Housewives storyline - I think it is most likely that the lamebrain went into labor on the plane and then concocted a whole "water breaking in Texas" story for dramatic effect.

But, there is some basis for speculation about the baby switching (weak as it may be). She doesn't look pregnant and there are rumors her daughter was cloistered. But there aren't even any RUMORS of incest (other than the ones you start). Is that out of anything other than the whole cloth of you thinking it would make the story more juicy?

69. The (presumed) father may not even know.
Are there circumstances under which the pregnant teen mother doesn't tell the father? Sure. What if she's not sure who the father is? What if she doesn't care for him or want him involved?

I'M NOT ACCUSING BRISTOL PALIN OF ANY OF THE ABOVE. I'm merely pointing out that there are a variety of circumstances under which the mother may not inform the father of his, er, fatherhood.

That eliminates several people from the list of "conspirators."

Hospital personnel and other attending medical people can't talk about patients. They're essentially sworn to secrecy by the nature of their job.

That pretty much leaves just the family members.

After our second child was born, my pain came back pretty bad about two months in. I distinctly remember nursing two while biting my lip in pain, and then trying to carry the baby while crawling to the bedroom with the diaper changing stuff while the toddler patted my back. No, I don't miss those days or forget them. I do miss how amazing it was to watch them grow, though. I remember how my son absolutely loved trees--calmed right down if you took him under a tree--and how my daughter would only sleep if she was on me. Part of me misses those days.

Take the url to your image and add ?randomtext to the end. Most webservers will ignore the part after the ? and just show the picture, but it fools DU into thinking it's not an image (and therefore it doesn't try to embed the image).

assume for a moment that palin's account is true, that her water broke/leaked while she was in TX

what does that say about her judgement? you are 44yrs old, carrying a downs-syndrome baby, your water breaks/leaks - wouldn't you go immediately to the hospital and at least be checked out?

IMO, it's irresponsible, and poor judgement to hop on a plane under these circumstance.

it was blogged, posted on the web, the week after Palin had her baby.

But the woman says that she was in the Airport leaving a ski trip in March when she saw the Governor.
"...I reflect back to my airport surprise when leaving Fairbanks after the PolarTREC Orientation in March." The woman also notes that she sees a pregnant Palin.

http://www.polartrec.com/node/3944

and no, I'm not a republican. I just want us to talk about the issues.
I don't like her, but there is no need to slime her. Even if it IS her daughter's baby...it's not going to change her on the issues. SHE'S NOT HILLARY. That's what we need to be talking about it.
Either way, I feel bad for this teenage girl who will be embarrassed by all this gossip.

84. Thanks.. I snoooozded for a little bit..
I know people are pissed that I am interested in this angle, but I just feel it in my bones.. I have listened to too many "yarns" , as a mother of three teenagers at one time, and I know a big ole whopper when I hear one.. She told too many variations on the story and nothing about the "locations" and the rest of it makes any sense, except for the obvious..

shame on her for not staying in Alaska, where the locals would "hold the secret"..

38. Isn't it UNSAFE to fly in third trimesster?
Don’t Be Shy

Flying in the third trimester is still safe so long as your due date is not too close. However, the possibility of going into premature labor is something to consider before you take off. Before you leave, double check that your health insurance is up-to-date and that your baby will be covered if she decides to make an early appearance. You should also ask your doctor or midwife for a medical contact in your destination and carry a copy of your medical records with you.

Most importantly: Thank you for your great work, SoCalDem!

39. Palin at the Iditarod on March 1
Edited on Sun Aug-31-08 10:01 AM by starroute
It's another winter coat shot -- but I gave birth to one of my kids in early May, and I know that by March I couldn't zip up my winter coat. Palin's doesn't even seem to fit snugly.

There's a large version at http://www.flickr.com/photos/jordan_in_alaska/2304990684/sizes/o

55. NO, NO, NO - pic was taken in MARCH.
The reading comprehension issues here are amazing. Go to the blog article where this photo appeared.

If we're going to post photos, we have to be METICULOUS about knowing when they were taken.

JEEBUS.

66. No it was NOT. Texas never mentioned. She was flying from somewhere in AK (Anchorage, IIRC) to her
home elsewhere in Alaska.
I think she mentioned seeing another governor (or political person) in a Louisiana airport, but this may have been on another occasion. Her encounter with Palin was in ALASKA. And this was in MARCH - I'm certain of it, because I pointed out someone else's error on this point yesterday.

I agree with you that the story is very fishy.
My point is that people posting photos (or accounts of events) need to be METICULOUS about dates and other details.

Hell, someone on Daily Kos posted the Super Tuesday photo (which was **VERY** clearly labeled as such) as being taken in March. Such sloppiness is pathetic.

46. I think the person on the left looks like Palin too
is her current hairstyle. It's definitely not one of the kids, none of them wear glasses. And if you look at her hair in the airport, her hair is NOT permed. So it does look like a picture from an earlier pregnancy.

I'm still not convinced the whole thing is valid, but just wanted to post my observation.

63. Her son was born in 1989.. her anniversary was last week
Edited on Sun Aug-31-08 12:24 PM by SoCalDem
He's 19.. the picture was provided by the FAMILY..it's purported to be of HER.. the other person is probably a friend or sister.. That hair style is exactly the way her hair is in her sportsgal video from 1989..and yes pregnany women usually plump up in the face too..

It was defintely not "coat weather"...but not summer, since there are no leaves or greenery, so the time frame does get narrowed a bit..

This one is from the same time that my first photo was taken.

This one is more recent with her hanging with the Spawn.

Now either she was pregnant or is best friends with Jenny Craig.

68. Thanks I'm on board w/ you now. But her decision
to fly so late in pregnancy was reckless, IMO. It may have even initiated her placenta leaking or breaking.

I'm not into that kind of risk taking.

She practically skips up and down the stairs.

How do we know the date on the video for sure?
