Subject: Heal Yourself? Not Permitted

After 10,000 plus years of safe, effective, affordable botanical medicine, the federal governments of various countries have decided that enough is enough.

With the "encouragement" of the white collar criminals in the pharmaceutical industry, the white collar criminals in government are drafting new laws to "protect" the Canadian public from herbs and food supplements.

Herbs will be put in the same class and regulated the same way as pharmaceutical products. Estimates are this will result in 70% of currently available natural health products removed from the market.

And your backyard garden?

You may not be permitted to grow herbs for medicinal use any more. Too dangerous without government regulation to protect you, don't you know.

2. Meh.
Isn't that kind of like practicing medicine without a license?

5. Not really.
Anything that is determined good for you, in a way to improve your health - they're effectively saying they can regulate. What next, your vegetable garden? Seriously - think about what 'medicinal herbs' consist of...

Cone flowers
Dandelions
Lemon Balm
Plantain
Violets
Mint
Spearmint
Chamomile
Catnip
Clover
Blackberries
Ivy
Onion (this is an antibiotic cleaner & reduces cholesterol)
Cabbage - anti-inflammatory
Aloe Vera - What kid growing up didn't have an Aloe Vera plant in the house?
Eucalyptus
Garlic (antiseptic & antibiotic - helps reduce hypertension)
Lavender - anyone comes near my lavender, and I might have to get out the kitchen knives!

And many many more.

6. But it's not a law against growing these things.
It's growing these things to be used as medicinal herbs, which is not unlike practicing medicine without a license.

7. Until a hundred years ago and all the way back through

human history, humans used such herbs and remedies. Now that there is a capitalist pharmaceutical industry, all of a sudden we humans have no business using these timeless remedies.

Personally, I'm fucking sick and tired of it. All of my grandmother's and her care giver's (my uncle) income is being taken by Big Pharma. They are slaves to Big Pharma. And now Big Pharma is trying to control what I have in my spice rack? FUCK THAT!

4. So they think they can regulate Dandelions, too?
What a crock of shit. I don't grow herbs for medicinal purposes, but I know many of them have those qualities. I live in the US, and if anyone comes near my garden - I'm going to have a fit. I like growing my own - because I know what the heck has been sprayed on them (NOTHING). If anyone is poisoning us, it's our government by allowing the use of chemicals that cause harm.
