John Edwards, that faggot, that Breck girl, that silky pony
Was the only one of the Dem pres candidates who had the BALLS to stand up to the right-wing Fox News Channel, and he did it early and he did it first. Richardson backed out of the debate today once he realized the "liberal" base was against using Fox...very convenient. But, Edwards, even before the BIG STINK got going good, had the ethical fortitude to say "no" at the beginning. It's this kind of candidate that won't lie down and become an abuse victim. I'll definitely have to take a second look at his candidacy...and using Act Blue, will have to make a donation tonight to show my admiration.

3. See - I see JE as a panderer - so I just think this is more pandering.
Sorry.

8. So, if JE had stayed in till the end, as Obama & Clinton did
he wouldn't have been pandering, but would have been pandering to Fox News instead. By your reasoning, he was damned if he did, and damned if he didn't. Just sayin'

17. I try not to trash declared Dem candidates either
but non-declared candidates are open to ridicule, haha. Even if they don't want to be VP.

14. Of course you do. I'm sure the Great Pumpkin won' t disappoint us Clarkies this election cycle, but
just maybe we ought to start thinking of a candidate who shares most of Clark's values. We can go Kucinich, Dodd, Edwards, or - to a lesser extent - Obama. Or wecan pick a candidate that is on the opposite end of the Democratic spectrum from Clark: Biden, Hillary, or Richardson.

I'll see you in the pumpkin patch in October.

16. I secretly think Edwards should go on Fox News
because he can reach independents and conservatives and convince them to vote for him. At least he's not working for Fox News.

7. Edwards said he wouldn't be a part of a Prez debate that Fox News sponsored.
Today, Richardson said he wouldn't either.

Apparently the Fox News sponsored Prez debate has been called off.

would not do it, either, because he refused to be interviewed by faux at one point when they captioned him as "Osama"?

12. why did they wait to announce that he wasn't doing it?
I'm kinda disappointed with his campaign in this dust-up. Is he a person who waits to see what everyone else is doing, or is he out-front for what counts to progressives?

15. There's all kinds of reasons that could be for the
delay..as long as he's not doing it then I'm a happy progressive.

I think Obama pretty much thinks for himself as do most of our other candidates except for a few notable exceptions who seem to be governed by coroporatewelfare.

19. Wait a sec....
I'm a fan of Edwards and I admit that I still have a lot to learn about Richardson, but shouldn't this particular situation be a "Democratic Candidates vs Faux News" thing instead of an "Edwards vs Richardson" thing? Better yet, can't this be a "Richardson backing Edwards' excellent decision" thing instead? It's so early in the race, certainly we could wait a while before eating our own, can't we?

From where I'm sitting, this is the perfect time for all the Democrats to stand together and denounce Faux.
