3. I hope its real and the pharmaceuticals don't water it down...
...making it just strong enough to prolong life, but weak enough for them to profit indefinitely off it.

The news stories I've seen say university researchers made the discovery, and I'm hoping they were able to do it independent of corporate conflict of interest.

I hope that made sense (I'm sleepy).

5. Choices 2, 3, 4 and 5 are all hate-related actually.
Two and four were against liberals, three was against gays and liberals and five was against women (and possibly African-Americans as well we won't know for sure until we find out who the perps were).

10. Hoping for the AIDS/HIV cure
It was tempting to vote for some of the others (esp #s 1 and 8) but I had to go with #6 due to the number of people it could potentially affect. As important as the others are, a cure or improved treatment for AIDS/HIV would be a truly world-altering occurrence. I'm hoping it works.

11. Finding a cure for HIV/AIDS is this generations "moon landing"...
...in the sense that it is a genuinely huge undertaking that will change the world.
