It's now called Ted Stevens International. Seems to me if "Tubes" winds up in the slammer they might want to find another name for it.

1. The image of Ted Stevens and "tubes" kinda makes me throw up in my mouth.
Sorry, I know that has nothing to do with your question but I had to say it.

2. Name it the Elizabeth Peratrovich Airport.
Famous for bringing civil rights for native Alaskans:

3. The think the repuke governor would be in charge of that decision
and I've recently read that she is now in hot water for supposedly influencing the firing of a state trooper....her ex-brother-in-law. Oops. Must be exciting times in the Last Frontier right now.

11. NO kidding. Naming things after dead people was standard practice...
before the Reaganites started trying to name everything under creation after St. Ron while he was still breathing. Now we have structures all over the country named after confirmed douchebags.

12. C'mon, give the ol' guy a break.
Comparatively speaking, his crimes are misdemeanors when compared to the crimes of Bush, Cheney, Rove et al. Besides, he was about to be retired...by vote.

I suspect that a good many Alaskans still hold him in high esteem for all the good that he's accomplished for the state. Particularly the bridges to nowhere.
