So anyone think today's hearing will actually get any press?
Is anyone on the morning shows talking about it yet?

1. The wonders of modern media control...
Most of the population won't hear a peep. But those Democrats that question their party's commitment to the Constitution will find ample ways of seeing this dog-and-pony show.

2. Sadly that's probably a minority even among democrats
There's a reason such hearings are only shown on CSPAN 3. Half of Joe public probably doesn't even get it in their cable tv package. Nothing will change while this is the case.

3. Only On Olbermann
If there's some big revelation disclosed, then it may get some pub...but remember, it's Friday, the worst news day of the week.

IMHO, the only coverage will be on Olbermann. The others may mention it, but aren't going to take it seriously.

I'm looking forward to watching this morning and hope it educates those who do watch as to what this procedure is all about. I'm hoping that members of the committee will explain their mindsets on the issue...an insight into where things can and should go. Sadly, until either the 500 foot high stonewall of "executive privilidge" is removed or this regime is that any real investigations and testimony can take place...the stuff that will get public attention.

Having John Dean or Bruce Fein testify is all well and good...and if there's gone be any sizzle here, these are the people I expect will create it. However, the sizzle the corporate media wants is a Rove or Gonzo on the witness stand...or a blue dress.

4. I'm not sure I can watch it
I think it will depress the hell out of me and that's an emotion I can't afford to entertain right now.
