:argh:

from ThinkProgress:

Fox’s Kilmeade confuses Bin Laden and Obama twice in five seconds.»

On today’s Brian and the Judge radio show, Fox News host Brian Kilmeade twice confused Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) and Osama bin Laden — within five seconds. Even after catching himself, Kilmeade immediately makes the mistake again:

KILMEADE: Michael, first off, is Bin Laden — excuse me, uh, is Osama — uh, is Barack Obama right when he says the central location of the war on terror is in Afghanistan?

2. lolz
i gotta say i actually like the kilmeade dude, hes kinda like the buddy you like to drink with and who always says the wrong stuff and you end up laughing your ass off. Hes never came across to me as being a shill just a typical sports reporting dude whos being given other responsibilities.

3. I said it the other day and wanted to kick my own ass
The fact that they rhyme is unfortunate. I try not to get too bent out of shape unless they intentionally say it. On fox there is always the chance that it is intentional but most of them were hired for their political views rather than the ability to speak coherently.

6. There's really a show called Brian and the Judge?
Sounds like a really sucky 70's sitcom that got cancelled after 2 weeks.

9. How is a former sports anchor even given the cachet to discuss politics on TV or radio?
Edited on Fri Jul-25-08 09:18 AM by Mike Daniels
I'm convinced that FOX and Friends was a designed as a "goof" by Murdoch to see if the viewing public would actually watch a weatherman, a sports reporter and a minimally dressed female general interest reporter discuss politics and other issues they knew nothing about for 3 hours.

Unfortunately, the answer appears to be "yes" and the viewers treat this daily train-wreck seriously.
