National Review: "Pardon Libby"...
I'll spare you the attempted justificatory drivel for their pre-ordained conclusion, save for one snippet for the annals of stupidity:

"Reasonable people can conclude that it was only Scooter Libby’s imperfect memory—not willful deception—that gave rise to the charges of lying under oath and obstruction of justice."

Um, on 1 out of 5 charges, guys. Only on 1 out of 5.

1. Please bush do it
Pardon libby - Today! Put the spotlight where it belongs. On you. I'm pretty fucking reasonable and I conclude that scooter lied intentionally to obstruct justice, just like bush lied intentionally to get us into war. They are republicans. They lie intentionally. Thats not a reasonable conclusion. That's the truth.

4. "Imperfect memory" is the meme of the day on all the righty sites.
They're all just stunned..."It's a crime to have a bad memory?"

Uh...helloooooooo! Was it a crime to get a blow job and not immediately fess up to the wife? The fact that they actually believe otherwise photographic-memory Libby suddenly couldn't remember one of the most pivotal moments in this administration's run-up to war is so laughable, it's not even funny. Or something like that.

9. And it isn't a crime to be a complete asshole, in Rush's case.

13. Earth to Limbaugh - Yes, it _is_ a crime (in fact, a felony) to out CIA operatives.
So yes, it follows that it is a crime to be a mainstream Republican these days. Treason is a crime.

But maybe it was just Rush's "bad memory" that led him to conveniently forget those facts on his show today.

5. Sounds like they are running this up the flag pole
To set up a reason in the minds of America why bush should pardon him.

8. I'll agree
I'll agree to the pardon if you'll agree to the impeachment.

10. Let them pardon him...
.. aside from making them look incredably bad I think that the issue of a pardon removes his 5th amendment rights to refuse to answer questions due to self incrimination.

I don't think they can afford to pardon him without otherwise silencing him in some way.

14. Ok, National Review - you've chanted your obligatory pieties.
Quid pro quo has now been satisfied. Take your fat checks and move on to your next professionally crafted collective lie.
