Buzzflash: White House caught in lie after having Denver residents kicked out of Town Hall Meeting
A BUZZFLASH NEWS ALERT

From www.denverthree.org:

Vindication has been achieved this week as our lawyers and a few diligent Denver reporters learned many interesting facts about our lawsuit. Our allegations in the lawsuit have been confirmed, and the White House has been caught in a lie.

Tony Snow needs to explain this, and we deserve an apology.

1. We were initially identified in the parking lot as we arrived by the "No More Blood for Oil" bumper sticker on our car.

Today's Denver Post column by Jim Spencer shows that Andy Merritt, presently State Director for Senator Allard and Republican Chairman for the 5th Congressional District, first reported our ties to the bumper sticker:

"Merritt said he arrived at the Social Security forum at the same time as a car with bumper stickers that said, "No Blood for Oil" and "Save the Environment, Plant a Bush." ... Still, Merritt told Klinkerman about the bumper stickers and the "suspicious behavior." Merritt also warned event officials that they "might want to watch" Weise, Young, and Bauer."

2. Orders for our removal came directly from White House Officials, one of whom sat a few doors down from the President's Office ... Not from a local volunteer as White House Spokesmen previously asserted.

AP Reporter Jon Sarche reported that:

"A volunteer said Friday he was acting on orders from White House staffers when he helped eject three people from a taxpayer-funded event President Bush was attending, according to the man's attorney."
