MSNBC wants to make sure the people know who Tony Rezko is:
Headline: Acquaintances May Hurt Obama Campaign -- Who's Tony Rezko? William Ayers? Few Americans know, but they probably will by Election Day.

Yeah between Scarborough & MSNBC, I am sure they will fulfill their desire, maybe if they had done stories like this on Bush/Cheney, the people would have had a better idea of what liars they were and the damage they would do to the country.

Here is the story if you want to read it.

We have to start calling them on it. AP had an article listing every bad person Obama ever met.

3. yawn. The usual "liberal media".

At this point, it is so nauseatingly obvious (see ABC/Disney's "Stolen Honor II") that literally, anyone who think the media, especially the Cable TV media, is liberal, is as deteached form reality as a 1930s German.

4. Of course they do!
And Joe Scarborough and the other right-wingers on MSNBC will keep talking about it until they turn blue.
More faux media-invented "scandals" are coming.
After awhile, no one will pay attention because eventually, these "exposures" will become ridiculously petty.
Same level as .. "Did Star Jones get a gastric bypass, and why didn't she tell her fans"

5. The only difference this time I think is we have a candidate who will
Edited on Fri Jun-06-08 06:31 AM by EV_Ares
not fall for their bs and will not stand for it. Just like he backed up Wiesel Lieberman in the corner the other day & pointed out some of his errors, Barack knows his facts and he will back up what he says. He will truly be a leader that will take us into a new and good direction. Screw the media.

Rove in the crosshairs at last! (LOTS of info here.. )

Fitzgerald to Conyers: “Okay, Now I’m Ready to Talk”
Well, now that you mention it, Fitz, I seem to recall that Congress did ask you questions about this issue--questions that you obliquely passed on because of an ongoing criminal trial.

But that's not the version of the "what if you got fired" question that I find most interesting. Rather, there's a question that asks specifically if Fitzgerald became aware of efforts to fire him during the course of the CIA Leak investigation. Fizgerald refuses to answer ... because of the ongoing Rezko case.

Let's see. Fitz "respectfully decline(s) to discuss matters currently at issue in a trial ongoing." The trial is over. And on the day the trial ends, Fitz says, "I owe Congress" a response about Kjellander's and Rove's efforts to get him fired???

I'm reading that message loud and clear, Chairman Conyers. Are you?

7. Uh...Have They Mentioned The Rove Connection? There's The Real Story
The corporate media missed this one a couple weeks ago...and that was the testimony that Rezko tried to buy his way out of prosecution (from Patrick J. Fitzgerald) and tried to use influence (Rove) in getting Fitzgerald removed. If some will recall, Fitz was on one or more of the lists of those who were to be fired but Gonzo just couldn't pull the trigger (especially while Plamegate was going on).

Someone posted the story the other day that Fitzgerald wouldn't comment on this interesting twist in another case of his by Rove, but the other day hinted that he'd like to discuss the matter now with Congressman Conyers and the Judiciary Committee. Here's hoping for that hearing to be held soon...yet another dagger in Rove's long-overdue comeuppance.

I expect the corporate media will attempt to play Rezko as Obama's "Whitewater"...they've always shown guilt-by-association to be a favorite device of theirs. And, as usual, they're tone deaf to the real stories going on out there that they can't manufacture or control.

9. Yeah, Rezko's kinda been out there for a while and nothing ever came of it
other than the fact that he was a crooked guy who was acquainted with every Illinois politician.

10. Scarborough dislikes Obama, pure and simple.
I imagine his entire show will be an Obama trashing from now until November.

12. Obama's everything Joe Scar wishes he were:
possessed of charisma, exuberant, inspiring, and oh, yeah, free of dead interns in his office.

There's a reason young Joe Scar can't make it in politics anymore and it smells of rotting flesh.
