Interestingly bizarre view of Kosovo on FR

Gee, I wonder why they are "unhappy"? Could it be because we invaded their country, built a military base, became an occupier and then gave a piece of their country away to Albania?

Is this your definition of "working out well"?

Bottom of the page shows Before and After photos of 18 of the 150 Serbian Orthodox Christian churches we allowed the destruction of, many of which were over 500 years old.

Don't know about you but this makes me ashamed, not proud. We are "the USA", not Nazi Germany and not the Taliban, but you wouldn't know it from the results we've supported in Kosovo.

1. So they've got a soft spot for Serbs, but not Iraqis

I encountered this back in the day when the bombing of Serbia was underway. I was in 8th grade and two of my highly conservative friends, who were all too happy to repeat their parents' belligerent rhetoric regarding Muslims, were quite upset that we decided to intervene in Serbia. I asked them if the fact that they were Eastern Orthodox (the only two in the entire school, as far as we knew) had anything to do with it. They didn't like that question at all.

No harm done though. I went to a baseball game with one of them last night, and we're all still good buddies.
