2. I am entering the new card.
I've used three at this point and it keeps rejecting. To quote Will Ferrell in Zoolander..."I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!"

I added a card and it still wanted another. Never did complete the transaction, and wasn't able to remove the extra card (which I didn't really want there in the first place),

I spoke on the phone to a customer sevice representative, who also couldn't remove it. She then blithely told me that if I was using any browser other than IE, some links might not work or might not even be visible.

No way am I going to use IE just to please PayPal!

WTF ever happened to cross-browser compatibility?

4. I just got it to work.
I went to my account page and deleted the obsolete card and added the new one. It worked after that.
