I've met Matthews - he's actually a really cool guy who just has the problem of seeing politics in a sports reporting way.

And it highlights Matthews' weakness. He sees politics as a game - the superbowl if you will. He doesn't care what a politician believes in, he's more excited about "winners" versus "losers" If you were Dennis, but stood 6 foot 5, spoke in a forceful tone that conveyed alpha male - he would love you.

But let me put it this way, he took a bunch of us from SPJ (Society of Professional Journalists) out to dinner, and we ended up with a $500 bar tab. Of course he payed it.

Don't get me wrong, he's part of the problem but as a person, he's a great guy.
