Next Veterans Scandal? The Benefits Denial, Review, and Appeal Process
Only 7 active judges review final decisions of the Board of Veterans' Appeals (BVA):

http://www.vetapp.uscourts.gov/about/History.cfm

That's only 7 active judges, to hear all the BVA appeals from the entire nation.

Well, maybe the BVA is a well-run agency, with plenty of information for veterans to resolve their problems at the lower level, right?

Think again: http://www.va.gov/landing_bva.htm

4. Glad to Hear It...
... and I suspect the MSM will start zeroing in on this aspect very soon.

Picture it: a half dozen veterans from Afghanistan and Iraq, surrounded by the paperwork (read: red tape) associated with their attempts to take advantage of their benefits.

5. I quickly read this that vets would be surrounded in red tape
now that would be quite an image, vets all wrapped in red tape!

:)
