CALLING ALL DUers - YOUR DU ASSIGNMENT!!!!
I can always count on my "fan" to fire off a comment from the confines of his momma's basement. I've shared a few of those comments with all of you from time to time.

Today's comment on the toon seems tailored made for a DU ASSIGNMENT.

THE TOON

(please rate the toon here http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwc )

The COMMENT (disclaimer: No spell checkers were used in the printing of this comment)

Comic Date: 20070302

Comments: please print the list of offenses by Mr Bush you feel are impeachable so that we might recognise you for the fool you are. the only heat out there is that coming from your hot panting breath!

THE DU ASSIGNMENT: (should you decide to accept it)
Provide items for the Mr. Bush Impeachable list....

meanwhile - tomorrow's toon should send this "fan" off the deep end

1. Are you considering the bandwidth issue?
Perhaps it would be easier to list offenses he hasn't committed. :eyes:

8. misunderstanding?
impeachment push is starting at the grass roots, meanwhile both Dems and Repubs in congress are not paying attention - and probably won't until their feet are on fire

for now the "fire and smoke" is at the grass roots

5. The speech by Salt Lake City Mayor at Washington State impeachment
rally was chock-full of very eloquently stated grounds for impeachment. I will see if I can find link. Anybody?

9. Great quotes:
Do we support the assertion of power by one man to engage in warrantless wiretapping of American citizens?

Do we support the torture of our fellow human beings?

Do we support the kidnapping, disappearance, and brutal imprisonment of people?

Do we support the killing, maiming, and displacement of hundreds of thousands of people on the basis of lies and ever-changing justifications?

Do we support an imperial president whose repeated, blatant, arrogant disregard for US and international law has transformed our country into a pariah state among the community of nations?

Do we support a complacent, complicit Congress so far unwilling to hold this president to account for his outrages?

Do we stand for a centralized, corporate media that behave as if our newspapers and Fox News are no more than bulletin boards for unquestioned government propaganda?

15. Not to be too picky, but it is The Declaration of Independence that
says "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness".

It's just that when we make these kinds of mistakes, the moles among us use them to their advantage.

14. Failing to ensure that NORAD was scrambled within one hour.
We all know that NORAD chased down a Lear jet that lost radio contact, back in, what was it, 1992? That all happened automatically. Jets scrambled.

But now we have four "heavies" all hijacked and going over an hour. Nothing. Norad sleeps in late. No. That doesn't happen without a stand down.

18. You might be referring to Payne Stewart
Anyway he was a well-known golfer whose private jet went off course and within eleven minutes we had NORAD escorting (following?) the plane until it crashed into the ground in the Great Plains.

This was maybe in 1998 or 1999.

Had it not crashed, it would have been shot down to avoid detonating into a major population center.

The NORAD generals who testified at the Nine ELeven Hearing lied through their teeth.

The only way to accept the contrast between Stewart's plane being tracked so quickly (on a day when there were no forewarnings) and the fact that on Nine Eleven none of the planes except maybe flight 93 had any fighters catch up to them -- THIS indicates a stand down.
