The real issue
is class but we get played even on DU with the issues of sexism and racism.
Anyone who read the book "Whats a matter with Kansas", were you shaking your head in disbelief, as you saw how these impovershied counties continually vote against their own interest because of fake divisions? That somehow because they are white they have tied themselves to the so called elite of that community believeing that these people have their interest at heart. A great book that covers this is Growing Up Okie by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz. Through an Autobiography it details how the poor of Oklahoma were used by the status quo, but these poor in many cases racist mot just aginst blacks but anybody different. This story is old but it works because for the elite to have power they have to create a race line, it is a succesful model. Because if that day comes when the have-nots regardless of color and gender get together, its over for the status quo. Thats why the wobbly's (IWW) were dangerous because in their union they let anybody in (gender, Color, skilled, unskilled). MLK was okay as long as he talked about "Black" issues but when he broadened his appeal to reach all Americans who had been in a constant swim up stream for the American dream then he became dangerous.
Sexism and racism are real issues but the sooner we solve them, then we can tackle the real issue that divides us Classism.

2. Starting with the law.
the one that makes corporate personhood possible. That lie (it was part of the legal headnotes, which have no standing in a decision) is what has made a kind of modern feudalism possible.

It's time to take that away, make corporations responsible for the damage they do (did you know that corporate crime isn't reported in the crimal stats?) and take back the country.

Well, actually, it's past time, but.........

3. Another good book is called Gangs of America
its about corporations and part of the book focuses on the 14th amendment and how the corps used it to define the corporation as a person, the 14th amendment in turn helped the corporation more than the newly freed slave who were the intended recipient of the 14th amendment
