The Responsible Plan - Congressional Challengers Show New Way for Iraq

Darcy Burner (WA-8), Chellie Pingree (ME-1), Donna Edwards (MD-4), Jared Polis (CO-2), Tom Perriello (VA-5) and Sam Bennett (PA-15) will present the plan this afternoon. Also participating in the plan are Eric Massa (NY-29), Larry Byrnes (FL-14), George Fearing (WA-4), and Steve Harrison (NY-13).

Based on consultations with retired generals and other national security experts on a path forward to end the war, the challengers’ plan lays out a series of actions for Congress to take to end United States military involvement in Iraq, strengthen America and improve our standing around the world, restore accountability and checks and balances to our government and work toward energy independence.

The intent of the plan release is to initiate a national discussion about the best way forward to bring our troops home from Iraq while preventing a repeat of such an epic and costly blunder in the future.

What does this have to do with those names atop your post? I suspect I may be missing something here.
I know who Darcy Burner is because she ran a close but unsuccessful campaign against Dave Reichert. She may try again but I have not heard if she has decided to do so, (they are not are in my District). I hope she is indeed running...I like her far better than that bush-butt kissin Reichkert.

So what does she have to do with all of this? Is she one of those "challengers"? If so, good on her!
