Gore's Oscar Has Moved Up Repub Swiftboat Season..... LINK
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dave-johnson-and-james-boyce/a-far-too-convenient-mea_b_42171.html

A hastily 'created' so-called Tenn Group For Policy Research populated by rightwing operatives evidently 'stole' Al Gore's energy bills, claiming they exceeded $30,000, concocted a story about his hypocrisy regarding conservation and global warming, and put it out for the Rightwing echo chamber. OF course they never contacted Gore to ask him about the energy bills, or they would have learned that Gore and his family are plugged into the green power network and they purchase carbon offsets to eliminate their carbon footprint.

It appears this group appeared out of thin air, never published anything before, and did not register as a non-profit with the State. However, that does not matter to the 'swiftboat network' who control their MSM echo chamber to represent it as some kind of public interest group.

Gore's popularity must really scare the Repubs, or is it just jealousy that drives this kind of attack.

Eerily similar to the attacks on John Edwards for the 'house' he built, claiming his new home was 28,400 -35,000 sq ft when they knew the home was only 10,400 sq ft. Can't let facts get in the way of a good smear. I guess Edwards' focus on poverty and the 'two Americas', and restoring workers rights, must scare some of the same folks.

Yep 'Swiftboat Season' is coming early this year, to the detriment of us all.....

1. Just IMHO but they want to run against Hillary so they are Swiftboating
the other Dems. I think they plan major Swiftboating against Hillary IF she wins the primary.

2. I would be interested to know the facts
A 10.000 sq. foot house must cost a lot to heat and cool.

3. There are plenty of threads here which will answer all your questions on Edwards' house...
but what is interesting is that Gore and Edwards both must be making people nervous, or there would not be these types of attacks directed at them.

The Gore 'swiftboat' group is just a preview of what we are in for the closer we get to the 2008 general election.

I think Hillary is the preferred Dem candidate of the Repubs because she has the highest 'disapproval' ratings, will galvanize their voters, and they think they can beat her easier than some of the other Dem candidates. They sure are keeping their powder dry in regard to Hillary.

4. One of my husband's co-workers
has always been a loudmouth right-wing-nut jerk. Dave has struggled to ignore this guy, who is always ranting loudly about politics and making nasty comments about Democrats and liberals. Dave says he can hardly concentrate with this moron's mouthings and suspects he is more than a few cans short of a six-pack mentally.

However the nut case is the pet of a right-wing manager, so there's no point in complaining about him.

Yesterday the jerk started out with did you see how they gave that asshole Gore an Oscar, blah, blah, blah..

At which point Dave finally snapped and told the guy to shut up and keep his politics at home and do his work instead of running football pools and yammering 8 hours a day. The guy actually shut up for the rest of the day.

(My husband usually works 10-11 hours a day, is on call around the clock and often has to work weekends - he's a DBA. He says he actually enjoys working on a weekend because the jerk isn't there and he can get more work done.)

Why can't jerks like this just let Gore win his Oscar and leave it alone? For heaven's sake, they ripped off the presidency that Gore rightfully won. They've trashed him and called him a liar. WHY CAN'T THEY GET OVER THAT GORE ISN'T THE PRESIDENT, THAT THEY BOY "WON", AND JUST LET GORE WIN HIS OSCAR IN PEACE?

I SWEAR, RIGHT WING RETHUGS ARE THE SOREST WINNERS EVER.

6. Gore keeps reminding them that they screwed him out of the Presidency...
Every time they see him they are reminded of what they did.

Hopefully they feel some pangs of conscience when they look at what they helped Bush do to our country.
