http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dave-johnson-and-james-boyce/a-far-too-convenient-mea_b_42171.htmlA hastily 'created' so-called Tenn Group For Policy Research populated by rightwing operatives evidently 'stole' Al Gore's energy bills, claiming they exceeded $30,000, concocted a story about his hypocrisy regarding conservation and global warming, and put it out for the Rightwing echo chamber. OF course they never contacted Gore to ask him about the energy bills, or they would have learned that Gore and his family are plugged into the green power network and they purchase carbon offsets to eliminate their carbon footprint.
It appears this group appeared out of thin air, never published anything before, and did not register as a non-profit with the State. However, that does not matter to the 'swiftboat network' who control their MSM echo chamber to represent it as some kind of public interest group.
Gore's popularity must really scare the Repubs, or is it just jealousy that drives this kind of attack.
Eerily similar to the attacks on John Edwards for the 'house' he built, claiming his new home was 28,400 -35,000 sq ft when they knew the home was only 10,400 sq ft. Can't let facts get in the way of a good smear. I guess Edwards' focus on poverty and the 'two Americas', and restoring workers rights, must scare some of the same folks.
Yep 'Swiftboat Season' is coming early this year, to the detriment of us all.....
