...just how in the bloody hell do these events work to their advantage? Don't get me wrong -- I understand on the one hand, they instill fear. What I do not understand, is that no one (apart from here on DU) points out that these events are proof positive that the administration's methods are not working to keep us safe. Especially in the case of bin Laden who should have been captured years ago. If we were really serious about capturing him. Which, quite apparently, we are not.
