I was 3rd in line at the pharmacy last night..
Edited on Tue Mar-04-08 06:59 PM by SoCalDem
Both ladies in front of me were turned away without their medicine..

clerk: " Next? May I help you"

me: "It does not look promising"

the two ladies who were still there, cracked up..

While I waited for the pharmacy clerk to look up my data, the two ladies and i were talking..

Lady #1..medicare issue..seems like they need to talk to her doctor ..it was 7 PM

Lady #2.. medicaid issue..so she either had to pay full price for her diabetes meds, or do without.. she went without & said she would "watch what she ate"..

I reminded them that in civilized countries, people just walk up, and get their meds..no out of pocket expense..

lady #2 said that her son married a german woman and lives there..and they pay nothing out of pocket for anything..

I paid by $10 per eye drop bottle co-pay and went on my way.. ($20 total)

The ironic part? one of the eye drops is the EXACT same one I get for $5 at the vet..and the bottle is 5 times bigger..

1. you have to wonder when people will realize this administration
AND congress have sold us to the pharmas and the health-care conglomerates...

most people think there is no earthly option possible...

and probably keep supporting those who have put us all in this situation..

there is no shame, there can be no pride.

PS-don't start rubbing your eyes with your leg...you'll know you got the doggie drops by mistake :hi:

2. And Congress.
The only decent candidate out there is fighting for his right to remain in Congress.

Go Dennis!

3. We are all being herded like
sheep and Babe is just waiting until Bush says That'll do pig. Congress doesn't do much except huff and puff about Bush and still caves in when he wants something.

4. You just brought back a memory.
There were lots of earaches in my family with 5 kids when we were younger. Mom was always hanging over someone with drops. She picked up the oil for the trumpet one of my brothers was renting for band practice and used them. They worked like a charm.
