18. I didn't quit cause I am a hero, had flu, couldn't breath

Spent 3 days in hospital. It is sad it took something so drastic as not able to get a breath to tell you your poor lungs are totally abused. Over 40 years of smoking... anyway, my days have highs and lows - afternoons are the worst.

Any mind distraction, like your silly pic and comment is really a plus! I never watched the Prisoner but it sounds like a movie I saw recently on tv with grandson about a similar place, brainwashing. This Dem presidential campaign is the damndest thing I have ever contemplated and watched. Who would have thought things would have gone in the direction it is now. Obama on a roll and Hillary appearing to be grasping for a life raft. Truly never thought this would be the situation in Feb. 25, 08. We were Biden supporters and the feelin' was good. We had some good candidates this time. I hate the hate stuff. I am comfortable hating bush and all his bestest buddies. The People finally got the picture that bush had no clue from day one and appear to be a bit embarassed by their lack of thought in what was happening to their military, constitution, rights to a hearing with representation, etc., your basics....

Must crack another beer and ponder cig/no cigs and politics. Politics are healthier to ponder than cigs For Sure!

I quit in '77 after having started smoking on cigarettes back in something like '52 or '53. I remember the first day of school '54 waiting on the school bus and I got sick from inhaling a puff of tobacco smoke. After all them years and all when I would smoke a cig it would still make me dizy, I never got over it and finally I just quit like I said.
good luck with quitting as you will be very pround of yourself once you feel you have it licked, so to say.
Hey when I was a kid lots of people smoked the nasty bastids actually. A higher percentage than smoke today and I never heard any talk about it being bad for us so we kids would sneak around and smoke butts or whatever when we got a chance.
food taste so much better now and thats prolly somewhat due to being able to smell smells I used to couldn't smell.
