Just a thought...
"Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal.” MLK, Jr "Letter from a Birmingham Jail"

From slavery to Jim Crow to wars of aggression to torture to indefinite detentions with no habeas corpus to extraordinary renditions to spying - to include businesses that break the law at the behest of government and those that profit from the crimes of government.

In a nation where people are conditioned to believe the rule of law means you never question the law, and where the rules and laws of a nation are distorted by a corrupt and criminal government, atrocities and abuses will take place in the name of the law. Laws can be - and have been - used to give legal protection to the crimes of government.

Nothing ever is "The way it's always been" - That's why we fight for what it is right.

"No, I am not, for this reason: Whatever was done as part of a CIA program at the time that it was done was the subject of a Department of Justice opinion through the Office of Legal Counsel and was found to be permissible under the law as it existed then," he said. "

Tony Fratto
