7. Not me. I would rather be having a tooth pulled.
(Actually, I am planning to have a tooth pulled on February 5th. No one seems to be able to save it...)

2. Only if someone abducts me and
ties me to a chair in front of the TV.

:hurts:

Then I would do everything I could to ignore it.

I mean, come on, are you a political junkie or aren't you? :P

4. Not me, my foot would be through the screen
within the first 2 minutes if I had the sound on. I might tune in for a 30 second period or so toward the end to look at the reaction in Congress.

Other than that, we've heard all the lies before. The only bit that will be the least bit interesting will be if he can pronounce "fundamentals of our economy" correctly.

General George Armstrong Custer will pale by comparison.

28. Swamp Rat, you are one talented GRAPHICS DUDE!
I have this idea for a logo --

Picture of Miss Liberty with a sash across her chest that says "MADE IN CHINA"

Wish I could do it myself, but I'm only a lowly talk show host and former copywriter...

Have a wonderful week (if possible... with everything that's going on...)

Cordially,

Radio Lady in Oregon

I can't stand to listen to him or watch him for that matter but I do want to seen how many people are dragged off in handcuffs because of what their T-Shirt says.

12. This is exactly why I'll be at TYT/BraveNewFilms.org for the *fun* coverage
because just sitting there watching that entire, boring, BS speech on TV is a horrible proposition.

Instead I can have progressive, running commentary (including from Robert Greenwald, the man behind Outfoxed, Iraq For Sale, etc.) with various progressive guests to break it down. And at http://bravenewfilms.org/network, they have live blogging, polling and chats during the coverage (at least they have for their election coverage, so I assume that will hold true for tonight as well).

13. I never miss one
I wish they would show Bill Clinton's last SOTU afterwards for contrast. I remember the deservedly rich and satisfied air he wore when he delivered it and told of all the things he and America had accomplished.

All Bush can point to is the various cute little firestorms which he set doing their part to destroy America, all the while giggling madly and winking at his fat, rich friends.

Edited on Mon Jan-28-08 02:53 PM by alyce douglas
which should be very good tonite.

If he mentions Iran that will mean he is still rattling that saber.

And will he of course always blame Congress for not giving what he wants. Plus how many times has he already rehearsed this speech, what a sorry little man he is.

Forensic Evidence and Murder, by the Book, and the Investigators, etc.

EXCEPT THE NEWS.

Keith Olbermann doesn't count. He's a sportscaster.

Jon Stewart doesn't count. He's a comedian.

24. I'll record it on TiVo but play it on "mute" during the
broadcast.

I want to see which Congresspeople they focus on - see who's yawning, who's texting on their Blackberries, who's picking their nose, etc. - and I can always play back anything I read here is significant enough to listen to.
