Strange manhunt update: Looks like that Marine fugitive may have been in town this weekend:
I'm in Durham NC, and my mom just called to tell me that
she saw on the screen crawl while she was watching Nancy Grace
(I know, don't get me started :eyes:) that he may have been
here this weekend.

So, I go to CNN.com, and the story gets confusing:

Slain Marine's ATM card found in Carolina bus station

SNIP: The ATM card of slain Marine Maria Lauterbach
was found in a Durham, North Carolina, bus station over the weekend
and the truck of the Marine suspected of killing her was reported
in the area, police said Monday.

How do those two notions fit together? If he's still driving his
own truck, why would he keep getting connected to bus stations?
Curiouser and curiouser!

Whatever. In case this is valid, y'all keep yer eyes peeled for
a black Dodge pickup with North Carolina license plate TRR1522, y'hear?

2. My guess: He has an accomplice (or two)
One person drives his truck around, and the other keeps buying bus tickets.

That way, cops have to follow-up on leads involving both the truck AND the bus tickets.

Or he sold his truck to someone off the books or loaned it to someone.

3. My guess is along the same lines. (and it hardly even counts a GUESS, Itellyawhut!)
Assuming that three POSSIBLE reports are correct, there's
only one way I can make them fit together:

IF he was really at that bus station in GA, and
IF his truck was really in Durham, and
IF her ATM card was found at the bus station...

Then I can only imagine he was at the GA station to hire some
homeless guy to ride the bus up here and plant that ATM card.
Maybe he was planning to drive up this way, and thought
the card at the station would divert efforts to find him
while he was driving around town?

But at the same time, I can't believe ALL those things are legit.
He has a vehicle, but he keeps getting connected to bus stations?
I'm supposed to think this guy has enough brain cells to conceal a body,
but somehow he hasn't stolen a different plate for his truck yet?
Sorry, does not compute. :silly:

I really think we'll eventually find out that 99% of these "sightings"
are just BS, like all the "white van" reports about the DC Snipers
the other year.

But I live in Durham, so I figured its better to pass along the BS
to my hometown peeps, for justincase. Y'know?
