Brian Williams on Morning Joe re: lamenting the YouTube-ization of media.
These talking heads really don't get why media like this has become so huge, do they? I think some of them see it as some sort of passing fad. They just don't get that people have found other means to get to the truth BECAUSE corporate media was subverting it--and they refuse to see themselves as contributing to the subversion of truth and our democracy.

1. Sounds like Brian is a little jealous, resentful, and insecure.
And this way we don't have to put up with lying hacks like Brian.

3. Passing fad? Wishful thinking on their part. MSM is in a panic...
Over the loss of control of the public mind.

8. Waahhhh....
... better get used to it Brian, folks are sick of the media lies and distortions.

You guys sold us Bush, sold us this god damned war, sold us this bullshit economy - and it is all falling apart.

People are tired of buying what you are selling. All bullshit all the time. Thank god for the internet.

9. Pot, meet Kettle
If any group has caused "news" to be trivial entertainment, devoid of substance, serving to hypnotize rather than inform, it's "mainstream media", Brian.

Now, Brian, got any recent stories about the Spears sisters? Inquiring minds want to know.

10. Admitting It Goes Against The Corporate Agenda
Right now the networks are fighting writers over Internet royalties...their line "no one's really making money from the Internet" and thus the writers should gladly give away their work for free and whatever table scraps (billions) the corporates make, well ain't that a nice little xmas gift.

Williams proves over and over again he's a corporate toadie of the highest degree...and us dirty fuckin' hippies just refuse to "get with the program". Thank goodness!!!!

13. Oh wow, big Bri. Maybe it's because you're a Bewsh admin asskisser . . .
. . . just like the rest of your corporate sell-out co-horts? Keep parroting the Rove note-card messages while the country sinks deeper into the proverbial ditch and eventually people will wake up. It's not difficult.

14. Nance Greggs wrote one of her greatest rants:" Brian vs. Vinny" or something like that
on this subject. I have been unable to find it , and I'd love to so I can print it and show to others. Anyone know how I can find it? To me, the near-total sellout of TV "news" to corporate interests is a true national disaster.
