Poll question: I'm a Die Hard Dem..but feel DemParty has Thrown their Activists/Grassroots UNDER the Bus.....
Edited on Sun Dec-16-07 08:43 PM by KoKo01
Here's the Deal: We are being asked to DONATE and SUPPORT folks we don't feel comfortable with. So, how are you dealing with SELECTION '08?

My questions are biased...because I'm NOT a Pollster...but they come from my heart ...and if you can deal with a "biased poll" here on DU...Please Reply...

1. I like Dodd. I like him a lot
And I intend to caucus for him on January 3 right here in Iowa. If we don't get the 15 pct. we need to make him viable, I may just go home. One has to stand by his or her beliefs.
I will vote for the Democratic nominee in November, but may not actually "put feet on the ground" to support him or her if it's who I think it may be.

6. The odds of it being her...I mean HIM or her...seem to be diminishing slightly.
Breaks my heart.

I prefer Obama to Hillary but not by a whole lot. Y'know, it makes me crazy that in a year with a viable black and a viable woman running, I can't get behind either because they're too far to the right. Who woud have figured?

2. I voted for Edwards, but I could sure live with Kucinich, Biden, Dodd, maybe
Richardson...

I did have trouble with your labelling Edwards a "New Democrat," though. That phrase, at least in my mind, means a DLC Corporate Neoliberal, and I wouldn't for a moment consider Edwards r anyone else if that's what I thought they were.

4. I'm sorry...I meant "New Dem" not in the perjorative sense of DLC /New...but New/Populist in his

Campaign. I just inserted "Populist/Dem" in the poll so it would reflect that Edwards new rhetoric was different from when he ran with Kerry.

Bt my compulsive pedantry wouldn't permit me to let it alone.

9. Aw, you know I woldn't trash you.
We've both been on this board too long, we've been on the same side too many times for that. Besides I really try not to do that to people. It seems so pointlessly destructive to do gratuitous injury to people.

Of course a lot of people seem to misunderstand my attempts at humor and choose to take offense at things meant in levity.

11. humor
is in very short supply these days. Any attempt at it...seems to be misunderstood 'cause there's so little of it. Understandable, I suppose...but much needed, still. Well...at least humor used to keep the "peace" sometimes...in years gone long past.

thanks.

10. Kucinich all the way
Although Edwards could suffice if he's really changed is colors (yet to be seen). I could also live with Dodd or Gravel. I would vote for Obama with a clothespin on my nose and *maybe* the same for Biden and Richardson. That's all of them right?

12. Your 4th and 5th choices
though I like Dodd too especially since he would restore the constitution by executive order as much as he could as soon as he took office.
