Anybody get THIS totally disgusting scam?

It was a variant of the "Nigerian Finance Minister" scam, and it claimed that a U.S. soldier and his unit had found $100 million in Iraq and was asking for a small fee to wire $10 million back to the U.S. It somehow attached itself to my outgoing emails along with a bogus 100 Million pounds sterling U.K. lottery prize, that was supposedly won by somebody whose email had been randomly chosen(if the "winner" provided the "lotto" organization with private information(this was targetted to people who were deeply in debt over the holidays.

I am furious that they not only did this scam but stole MY email address, and am scanning my computer repeatedly for malware. Beware of this one. It is disgusting and unbelievably cruel.

1. That's a virus

You need to go t symantec or norton or somewhere and look it up and figure out if there's a removal tool. It might do more damage, or continue to send emails every time you reboot, etc. I can't understand the thrill of creating viruses, there are so many other things people can use their talents for.

is you e-mail address being spoofed from somewhere else?

4. my provider told me my email box had been hacked.

I ended up having to change my email passport because they'd locked it.

I'm hoping that's the end of it.
