Seymour Hersh Breaks Story of My Lai Massacre

In 1968, hundreds of civilians from the Vietnamese village of My Lai were massacred by US troops who were searching for Viet Cong fighters. Unable to locate any insurgents in My Lai, the soldiers became enraged and opened fire on the villagers, only stopping when a US helicopter pilot threatened to fire on the platoon. Nearly 2 years later, an investigative journalist broke the story, prompting widespread condemnation of the Vietnam War. How many of the soldiers were convicted for their crimes?

3. THANK YOU, SEYMOUR HERSH!
...for your years of reporting --for your integrity and your humanity.

You have made a great contribution to your time in history by the work that you have done. And he's still at it. And hope he will be for a long, long, long time.
