DING DONG, THE RIGHT-WING SHILL IS GONE!
Edited on Sat Oct-27-07 12:45 AM by rocknation
Morning shakeup at WWRL

Sam Greenfield and Armstrong Williams, the morning...hosts at WWRL (1600AM) in New York (City), hosted their last show yesterday.

…Listeners mostly took exception to...Williams...(having)...accept(ed) $240,000 in payments from the Bush administration to tout...No Child Left Behind...on his TV and radio shows…(He) had to fork over $34,000 to settle his case with the Department of Justice…

…Air America Radio personality Mark Riley and current WWRL nighttime host Richard Bey will take over…Monday...

I boycotted the show only partly because Williams is a conservative--it was mostly because Williams is a money-taking conservative shill. And don't forget that he said, "There are others," when he got caught. Well, I'm glad he's gone, though it's more likely that his contract just ran out. Now New York City metro has a chance of having a legitimate morning drive political radio show again!

6. Agree with BuryTheHatchet. Beck was bad enough on radio. It's worse when you see him.

2. The Bush ADMINISTRATION paid him? If so, is the administration
being charged with anything?

So cool that they're being replaced by a voice or two of reason.

8. Well hell, Faux news has an office inside the White House.
Sean Hannity loves the digs there.

11. Pelosi won't set the impeachment
"table" for Abu Ghraib and the endless list of other horrifying examples. You think there are any consequences for this? This sort of thing is small potatos for the Bush/Cheney regime. For this regime the media only exists as one of 2 things: a semi-official propaganda arm, or an enemy.

12. They should
Blasting the American people with propaganda on the taxpayer dime is illegal.

It's why VOA, Radio Marti and others don't target US citizens.

Of course, I could go on about how much of a monetary sinkhole Marti is, but perhaps another time.
