Did Kucinich see UFOs or is Shirley nuts?
Kucinich Had A UFO Encounter, According To Friend Shirley MacLaine
By Eric Kleefeld - October 23, 2007, 10:19AM

In Shirley MacLaine's new book, the actress and longtime friend of Dennis Kucinich makes an interesting claim: During a visit to her home in Washington state, Kucinich said he saw a UFO and heard messages from it.

"Dennis found his encounter extremely moving," MacLaine writes. "The smell of roses drew him out to my balcony where, when he looked up, he saw a gigantic triangular craft, silent, and observing him.

"It hovered, soundless, for 10 minutes or so, and sped away with a speed he couldn't comprehend. He said he felt a connection in his heart and heard directions in his mind."

Kucinich's campaign and Congressional offices did not return calls or e-mails from the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

21. Is it coincidence that many of them think they were Napoleon in a former life?
How do you explain that? Napoleon?

Hell, if I were nuts I'd at least shoot for someone truly inspiring like DaVinci, Michaelangelo, Socrates, but forken Napoleon?

You know, for all these people to have been Napoleon in their former lives you'd have to have alternate dimensions or the numbers wouldn't work.

9. Well, I didn't say that
If he didn't see a UFO then Shirley is definitely nuts. But if Kucinich did see a UFO that doesn't necessarily make him nuts, unless he thinks something like that aliens are contacting him through his teeth or something like that.

Edited on Tue Oct-23-07 01:34 PM by CreekDog
The leglislation banning "chemtrails". I can't tell you how many wacky statements and theories I've come across about those. To his credit, he disavowed the conspiracy theory and removed the language, but did he, for a moment believe that? The proponents are not providing any rational explanations, just fear and I wonder if he bought into that at all. I'd be concerned if he did.

14. The really strange thing
The really strange thing is that the public has such a fascination with Shirley MacLaine that she probably could become president. That said, apparently she wants to make sure Kuchinich doesn't.

22. UPDATE: Kucinich issues a non-denial denial
Kucinich Office Has No Comment On UFO Story
By Eric Kleefeld - October 23, 2007, 1:52PM

Dennis Kucinich's Congressional and campaign offices have not yet denied Shirley MacLaine's claim that Kucinich "heard directions in his mind" from a UFO while visiting her home in Washington state.

"I am not commenting on that," said Natalie Laber, press secretary for the candidate's Congressional office, when asked by Election Central.

Kucinich's presidential campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

32. Ronald Regan made several references to threats from other lifeforms
as part of promoting SDI, he usually made announcements like those after careful consultation with Nancy and her astrologers.

Presidents Carter and Clinton both made statements about public release of government information about whatever so-called UFO's are.

Directed energy devices and weapons produce effects associated with many anomalies deliberately discredited.

Assuming primary elections are held, Dennis Kucinich has my vote, support and activism regardless of whatever Shirley Maclaine has written.

I am still intrigued by the "directions" Shirley said the aliens gave him. Maybe something like "Turn left at Triangulum Galaxy and proceed 76 light years, then make a right at Coma Berenices..."?

Edited on Tue Oct-23-07 03:08 PM by Totally Committed
That was the stupidest, okay, stupid is a strong word, and judgemental... the most ill-advised, least "politic" thing to write in a book about someone she has said numerous times shuld be President. That kills any chance he'll be taken seriously now. I wonder which of his opponents floated that one? I have a guess, but the tracks are probably covered very well.

45. Jimmy Carter was attacked by a rabbit in a fishing boat
Carter was in the boat, the rabbit swam out and attacked him.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Carter_rabbit_incident

Dubbed the "killer rabbit" attack by the media, the Jimmy Carter rabbit incident involved a swamp rabbit that caught press imagination after trying furiously to board then-U.S. President Jimmy Carter's fishing boat on April 20, 1979.

Carter had gone on a solo fishing expedition in his hometown of Plains, Georgia when the rabbit approached his boat, "hissing menacingly, its teeth flashing and nostrils flared and making straight for the president",<1> trying desperately to enter the boat, causing Carter to flail at the swimming creature with the oars from his boat.

Upon returning to his office, Carter found his staff disbelieving of his story, insisting that rabbits couldn't swim, or that they would never approach a person threateningly. However, it was later confirmed that a White House photographer had in fact captured the incident on-camera.<2>
