They just get dumber and dumber: "9/11 a justifiable reason for this war" (local LTTE)
Everything below this is the LTTE in the local right-wing rag (suburb of Philadelphia). Thoughts? (My favorite is that the people killed by the Blackwater employees went there with the intent of being shot.)

9/11 a justifiable reason for this war

Linda Maxwell’s recent letter to the editor (DLN, Oct. 18) was full of so much misinformation that it was not funny.

These war protesters never showed up with an American flag on a sign reading “support our troops” until I did. I was protesting the protesters.

Now they are trying to say that it makes a difference where the terrorists are hiding.

My point is that they are on the run and we are looking for them. They are weakening both in numbers and support.

The innocent civilians that died in Blackwater’s line of fire were there for the purpose of making the U.S. look bad. They were martyrs on purpose.

I have witnessed the American flag being flown upside down outside the Chester County Courthouse during one of these “peaceful” demonstrations. I took it down and gave it to the deputy on watch inside.

Killing thousands of Americans on 9/11 is a justifiable reason for war. I’m sure those motorcycles were so loud their insults were not even heard.

Support our troops ... we are winning this war.

1. Is this person
Out of their mind?

What part of 9/11 and the Occupation of Iraq have NOTHING in common? And to say the civilians MURDERED by Blackwater were there on 'purpose' - because that's what the letter writer is really saying . . . that's the definition of evil.

How about - Support our troops. Bring them home, give them a parade, then impeach Bush/Cheney? That sounds like a far more palatable game plan than 'Supporting our troops'. And I'm fed up with this being - 'a War'. And being referred to as a 'War'.

The Iraqis that are fighting us are NO different than the Maquis and Resistance fighters that were in Vichy France in the 1940's. Just because some of the people want us there - doesn't mean the MAJORITY want us there.

What terrifies me about this letter though? The fact that this eejit is probably a registered voter. That's what scares the hell out of me!

2. This letter is nothing but a listing of RW talking points.
There is no logic to it. There is no thoughtful reasoning or careful analysis. It is as if the writer just finished listening to Limpball and couldn't wait to regurgitate the lies. I wonder if it is a plant - RW corporatist who write LTTE in order to sound like local yokels.

4. Occasionaly I'll google the letter writer's name
to see if it shows up in other searches. And many times you'll find links to a local young repub club or other ltte's that the person has written.

5. Some of it only makes sense in context of recent letters and events in the area...
There's been a protest every week for ages now by the Chester County Peace Movement. Recently, some knuckle-draggers and their pals on motorcycles have been showing up and intimidating them. Rather, TRYING to intimidate them, as it's not working.

Please note: I am NOT stating that all bikers are knuckle-draggers. Just the ones trying to intimidate and drown out peaceful protest with their engines.

6. actually, their "average" IQ goes down because the reality is
that the more of them that get together, the TOTAL number of the IQ points added together GOES DOWN ...
