and executioner in NOLA.

Pretty damned relevant.

27. Look it up. It was even ALL OVER MSM - They had permission to shoot looters
Edited on Sun Oct-14-07 02:03 PM by havocmom
Now, that would mean THEY got to decide who was looting as opposed to getting water and food from ruined businesses and taking it to places like the Superdome. People were told to go to that place and then they were abandoned. When the strong went out to forage supplies for people WHO WERE DYING, Blackwater got permission to be judge, jury, executioner ON THE SPOT.

Oh, and welcome to DU.

I am series!!1!!!!!

cheney*/bush* all but abandoned New Orleans and THEY LEFT PEOPLE TO DIE. The Blackwater mercenaries were some of the first on the scene guarding the rich white neighborhoods.

Enjoy your brief stay here at DU.

52. They were given the power. Did I say they used it?
Read again. They were given the power by bush. He has already given them the OK to shoot to kill AMERICANS in AMERICA. That was the question of the OP.

Already been granted. Do you think they will admit to how many they may have killed? They won't fess up about what they are doing in Iraq. THAT is also the point. They act with no accountability and with the approval of the White House.

Edited on Sun Oct-14-07 09:57 AM by sfexpat2000
that were flying around at the time weren't to cover for the fact that the White House knew about the levees and did nothing -- they didn't even warn the Hurricane Center.

They killed those people, created a distraction and sent in their private army.

8. Are there still people out there that don't see this?
Of course there are. A poll question like this would probably get a 80% or higher "no", even NOW when it is so damned obvious and so many multiple felonies have been revealed (and not prosecuted), in a group of mixed mainstream Imperial Subjects of Amerika.

Not that such a question would ever be asked by any polling organization, but it should be, because I may be very badly underselling the American People, and maybe the reply would be as high as 50-50 out in TVLand.

Who knows. Someone should send this to Zogby.

12. There's damned good reason to believe they already indirectly
killed American soldiers in Iraq.

"Federal prosecutors are investigating allegations that employees of Blackwater illegally purchased weapons and sold them in Iraq, according to U.S. government sources." - 'Blackwater denies involvement in illicit arms trade'

http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/09/22/blackwater.probe/

It can't yet be proven, but if they did, then these weapons have undoubtedly been used to kill Americans. But the fact that Blackwater has denied it, and this administration is handling the investigation, reassures me that all is kosher.:sarcasm:

18. Under what circumstance? Which Americans?
Are you suggesting that he'd target high profile lawmakers, opinion makers, and members of the legal community? Or just randomly kill American citizens? What would be the point of that?

How would it benefit him? Is there any real possibility that he'll be charged with war crimes before he's out of office? Are you suggesting he intends to stay in office?

Are you really asking if bushco is capable of anything? The answer to that has to be yes- but only if he thinks he can get away with it.

51. I have to agree.
This panic mongering nonsense makes us all look foolish. Bush is not going to call in Blackwater to kill Americans, period. It will never happen. All these guys want now is to run out the clock and count their money. They aren't looking to stay in power, there will be no martial law, no canceled elections and no calling out mercs on the populace. Hell, this entire premise is ridiculous because there also will be no war crimes charges.

The most decent, honest, moral, ethical, Christian-republican, and republican-American thing he has ever done in his entire life was to spread the rumor that McCain had an illegitimate nigger daughter. That was Bush on his best behavior. Everything else he has ever done is significantly worse.
