Do you believe Kucinich would win the primary if he did something bold?
For example, how would it impact his campaign if he took impeachment to the floor as a privileged resolution right now?

1. He would be admired by many,
but it's not enough.

2. He would be ostracized by the entire senate (including Dems).
And he would be viciously attacked in the media by dems and repukes a like.

7. I wonder how the people would react to it. Reminds me of the 'angry white men'
movies of the 90s where one guy just stands up and says "I won't take it anymore". People paid money to see those stories.

Ordinary Americans love heroes and they love underdogs. Kucinich stood up to an unbeatable force before, when he kept Cleveland Public Power in the hands of the people.

Bring it on!

People are sick of this administration.

18. Just look around DU.
There are many here that won't vote for him simply because they are in the Hillary camp or Obama camp or whatever camp. It's petty and juvenile but that's reality.

And the media influences voters. That's just common sense.

9. Why would he be ostrasized by the entire Senate, when
he's not a member of that body? He serves in the House, and aren't there 20 reps who have already signed up with him on introducing articles of impeachment?

20. Because Dems eat their own. That's why.
Do you really believe that if Dennis introduces articles of impeachment there won't be at least 10 different press conferences that very day from the differing Dem Senators (not to mention repukes screaming)?

Even the majority of the house would be against. Why? You gotta ask them.

5. No, because the press would ignore him and the late night
comedians make fun of him. The illiterati, who get their information from these sources, don't bother to find out what he stands for, what his record is and whom he gets money from. If the press doesn't do its job and report these things, the majority of the public won't know about it. So It would be a hard slog for him to win over those votes in the primary. Regardless of that, he's my guy. I have a history though of supporting the candidate who should have been President but never made it because he had too much integrity.

15. No
Sadly, presidential races have devolved to popularity contests akin to the ones occurring in high school. Mr. Kucinich wouldn't win either ...and that is a shame.

and he ended up looking & sounding like this guy:

or any generic , modestly handsome man of his age, with a more mainstream look..and hair cut.

Don;t get me wrong..Dennis has great ideas, but he is NOT telegenic. America is full of shallow people who would gladly forego the cake, and happily eat the canned frosting with their fingers...all day long...as they watch American Idol, so they can hoot and guffaw at the "ugly losers"..

There is no room anymore on the winners podium for guys who look less than what passes for "normal" these days...

19. No
he wouldn't win a single primary, even if he did that.

It'd be a half-day story. He'd introduce it, the house would vote it down and go on about their business.

I can't remember what he said in one debate but it was something about Respecting Osama or something to that effect. I nearly spit out my milk when he said it.

there's a Democrat with some spine. I look forward to seeing Dennis bring the privilaged resolution to the floor of the House.

Go Dennis! :woohoo:

26. I think, in all honesty, it would take a miracle for him to win, but
doing something bold would help get a pretty decent percent of the vote, which would make a difference in influencing the party..
Either way, he has my vote.

In the days before TV he may have had a chance. America will not vote for him because he doesn't look like we expect a president to look.
