Let's hear it for Thom Hartman!
I'm unable to listen to his program during the week, so I look forward to listening to rebroadcasts and pod casts on the weekend. Although I admire Rachael Maddow, Mike Malloy and most of the other progressive voices on the air (for many different reasons), for me Hartman's program has no equal on the airways. He's the one I'd most enjoy having a beer or two with. His debates with repugs and regressives are always informative and instructional. He's simply the best.

1. he sure is. i caught him on cspan several years ago talking about "the commons"
he makes a ton of sense and does it without the cheap tricks of other well known radio heads like limpballs.

2. He is incredibly smart and articulate. He's my favorite
He also has a list of accomplishments a mile long including successful businessman. I chuckle when Repugs try to tell him how businesses should be run.

6. I agree-and he does put on people that disagree with him,
and doesn't try to talk over them. He is really informed.

7. He is freakin' brilliant.

He is very respectful of other people, and it comes through in his phone calls.

He is deeply religious, in a truly authentic, positive, non-superficial way.

His depth of knowledge comes through whether he is writing or speaking. I wish I had time to sit down and read all of his books.

He is a progressive treasure.

9. I wrote to CNN & told them they should pull Glen Beck & replace him with Hartmann.
I'm such a dreamer, huh? I haven't received a response.

My rw mother described Hartmann as "reasonable & polite."

16. Or maybe replace Tucker Carlson with him!
If MSNBC really wants to grab a huge percentage of viewers, Thom Hartmann would be incredible! Olbermann and Hartmann. I like Hartmann because he does so well with wingnuts. Not rude or aggressive, just armed with the facts. He would bring many people back to earth and reality.

10. I'm going to miss him on my morning drives here in San Diego when KLSD goes away!
Edited on Sun Sep-23-07 10:54 AM by calipendence
When KLSD switches format in the coming weeks, then the only choices I'll have are satellite radio, and between XM and Sirius it sounds like only Sirius carries an hour of his show at the proper time, unless their programming has changed since I checked on it with SUPPOSED official Air America provider XM Radio puts non-Air America Ed Schultz on in his time slot instead.

I guess I'll have to get the pod-cast thing working in my car soon instead. At least I can listen to him that way, even if it is delayed a day. That or more to Oregon where I can get him for even more than 3 hours in the morning...

He was kind and gentle and witty and extremely insightful.
