OK, I have to hand it to CBS News. I was watching the local CBS news channel they when to National coverage of the Emmys. It was the usual "fluffy" coverage, and then at the end they mentioned Al Gore's win. They ended by saying that it put Al Gore's win on the same par as The Soprano's because they were the only shows to get a standing ovation!
Wow! I wouldn't have expected any news coverage to even notice, much less save it for the end!
Maybe they are felling a little buyer's remorse, knowing that they along with the rest of the media helped smear Gore and kept him from winning a landslide in 2000?
