This is really getting bad, because once the Canadian Dollar is worth more than the U.S. Dollar, they can enslave us, right? :P

Btw, I found this great Currency converter at this link: <http://www.myczechrepublic.com/czech-currency-converter.php>

6. My EASA Fund Looks Better Every Day
You can't go wrong if you bet against booosh...and while its sad to see the dollar tanking...it's due to borrowing and defecits of this regime. Those who were smart enough to invest in foreign currencies (hedging on booosh continuing to squander the US treasury) are doing very well right now.

Enslave us? Who? Canada? China? Nah, they need us to keep spending and spending. Slaves aren't big spenders.

11. Yes, I went on an Alaskan cruise in 2002 and it cost me over
$1.50 Canadian for every US dollar. The economists in Canada have been predicting par by the end of September, I am not sure I buy that but parity is certainly possible by the end of the year.

24. "...American goods are a better values?" What "...American Goods???"
Please tell me what "American Goods" you have bought in the last month!

Yes, you ARE right on your second RW Talking Point, "...imports are more expensive..."

YES, But we import just about EVERYTHING!

So (A) we Import Everything + (B) EVERYTHING is More Expensive = (C) Inflation

And since we Import Everything, that means we Manufacture NOTHING, which means fewer Americans with Jobs which depresses wages!

So (A) Depressed wages + (B) Higher Prices = (C) fewer customers!

So tell me again how this is NOT a Bad Thing!?! And Please, no Fox "news"/RW Talking Points this time.:grr:

And you import more oil from Canada than anywhere else. So, all that oil is getting more and more expensive, which ripples through the whole economy.

30. Why does that matter?
Sorry, I'm not an economic expert, but a lot of countries have a higher currency value. I supposed most of them are nicer places to live too. Canada's a nicer place to live, and I'm certain they don't need American's coming over there messing up their beautiful communities.

But, as a non expert, I am asking how does that bode poorly for the U.S. economy? I would think that more people would buy American if our dollar is a little cheaper.

34. The US imports oil, gas, electricity all of which will cost a
great deal more with the decline of the US dollar. The US is no longer the powerhouse manufacturing country it once was, one needs only to see the closed steel factories, etc, to know this and to see which big US corporations have outsourced the manufacturing of their products. The US could reverse this but there would be a very painful gap of time before one would see the "buy American" being a reality.
