Pierce County woman was still in bed Tuesday morning when she was awakened by a pair of pit bulls that charged into her home and began tearing into her.

Bloodied with wounds that would later require hospitalization, she fired a gun at the dogs -- missing -- and fought her way to a car parked in her Gig Harbor driveway to wait for rescue, police said.

3. I do believe the way a person treats an animal

is the way they act toward all people. If you are kind to them when they are first born and show love and training, the animal will not be vicious. I think people train dogs to be mean.

4. there are some breeds that are bred for certain requirements of

the breed Standard. temperment is part of that mix. some of these requirements are bred to the extreme and some requirements totally ignored.

so breeds get known for various kinds of temperment.

and yes, how a dog is raised makes a huge difference. the same as raising children.
