The All-Bran commercial.. Am I the only one?
The subliminal messages here must have the ad guys yukking it up..

The constrution guy's blathering on about how he was not "regular"..he's eating a bowl of the stuff and a big ole I-beam come sliding out of a slot in the wall behind him..

then some boulders come rolling out of a bin..
and finally a dump truck unloads a big ole pile of dirt..

Uh.. we GET it...

2. As subliminal messages go, these weren't subtle.
But the ad is funny.

4. Boy am I dense
I just thought it was a stupid ad.

I hope you are wrong but I fear you are correct.

But then it's no worse than the gas ex ad where the woman says "sales are flatulent" and "I remain silent but deadly" for coming right out and hitting you in the face with it....

11. The first time I saw it , I thought that it was satirical;
Checked the channel to see if I was on comedy central ( colon blow came to mind). I then realized that it was the real thing. Not sure if I like it, but it sure has my attention.

17. Speaking of subliminal -- What's up with the bathtubs in the Cialis ads?
The symbolism of all those big, hard rocks and rolling surf is pretty obvious, but what the hell are they trying to do with the two bathtubs at the end of each of their commercials? It's been driving me up a wall.

20. There's usually some strong symbolism in ads for any product
connected to bowel movements.

Mr. Whipple is the archetypal anal-retentive manager who ferociously guards the Charmin from those who would give it a squeeze - reveling in its texture hedonistically. You just know he needs to take laxatives before he can know its pleasures.

TP is also hawked by talking clouds and bears - both of which I suspect are intended to invoke images of large, fluffy bowel movements.

Then there's the lady who practically pins her husband to the floor in order to make him take a dose of Milk of Magnesia (also touted as M.O.M.).

I suspect the ad agencies recruit psychologists of the Freudian school of thought to write ads dealing with that specific bodily function.

that old statement about what bears do in the woods.

24. No, you are not the only one.
This ad was on Countdown the other night and I was thinking "Ewww. It reminds me of the first Levitra ads, with Dan Marino or whoever it was throwing a football through a tire swing again and again and again..."

28. THE BEST for double-entendre is the Male Enhancement
commercial, mainly on the Comedy Channel. I forget the name, Enzyte? Makes me double over with laughter every time. Of course, now, the company's owner has been indicted for fraud, and there's a class action lawsuit....guess some people have no sense of humor, lol.

i saw that commercial a couple weeks ago on the abc nightly news, and HAD to record it to show my wife- it's HILARIOUS.

btw- that i-beam shot at the beginning makes absolutely NO sense from a construction perspective.
