Sunday talk show tip sheetThis Sunday brings the political equivalent of dueling banjos on the morning talk shows as Karl Rove does a farewell press tour across the networks, while the Democratic presidential hopefuls battle it out on a live, 90-minute debate on ABC’s “This Week.”
Rove, who is stepping down at the end of the month as President Bush’s chief political guru, headlines NBC’s “Meet the Press,” CBS’s “Face the Nation” and “Fox News Sunday.”

CNN’s “Late Edition” leads with a congressional debate over the war in Iraq between Sen. Kit Bond (R-Mo.), vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, and Sen. Robert P. Casey Jr. (D-Pa.).

C-SPAN’s “Newsmakers” interview is with Rep. James L. Oberstar (D-Minn.), chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. He’ll face questions on the bridge collapse in his home state from reporters Kevin Diaz of the Minneapolis Star Tribune and John Hughes of Bloomberg.
