Who belongs in jail?
Drug addicts?
Alcoholics?
Mentally ill?

Asians?
Blacks?
Latitnos?

People who drive while talking on cell phones?
Scooter Libby?
Dick Cheney?

Unfortunately, the top three take up (as an educated guess) 80% of our prison beds.

Sucks?

That's lobbyists for you.

BTW, what DID happen to the electric car?

1. Yep, the first three are the heirs of Ronnie Reagan's nasty politics. When
he got into office one of his first orders of business was to cut social programs for those that needed them the most. And where did these people have to go? Out into the streets or into the jails.

And now with the prisons becoming a for-profit business run by private companies, you see the rates for conviction AND retention skyrocketing.
