4. When the Fed 'injects' an additional $19bil into the market, that only helps those at the top....
the CNBC host just said they hope that by giving money to those at the top the FEd if hoping it will trickle down to those with real problems at the bottom.

So the solution the Fed is pursuing is we will provide those at the top with even more opportunity to exploit those who really need the help.

SHeesh.

18. That's how I feel about it.
It goes up, it goes down, sometimes it goes way up, sometimes it goes way down.

However, indexed to inflation, it's still a little undervalued.

I'm living on interest and dividends right now, not on the value of the paper, itself.

The real disaster will happen when the credit card companies get a little more nervous about all that unsecured debt out there, debt with nothing to back it up once the trips have been taken and the dental work paid for.

10. Been watching the streaming ticker and all the numbers are RED ....
The drop is not like a rock, but there are no sectors pulling against the downward trend. If that does not change, there will be a realization that the market as a whole is trending down and selling will pick up quickly.

14. I always get the feeling they lying to our face about what is really going on....
It is a form of financial propaganda that is necessary to keep people from understanding what is really going on --and who is really benefitting from the present circumstances.

Not a word about the Bear Stearns Officials that cashed out at the top when they realized they were about to take a huge hit.

I guess that is ok with them.

... and gave the ENRON officials time to get out with cash before the crash came.

I find the 'technical' perspective to be fascinating ... numerology. Superstition rules and reason takes a back seat in a corrupted system.
