Remember the 79 oil embargo?? I have this peculiar memory.
My dad was a director of an oil company at the time.

And I said to him - cause basically every single news station said at the time we were going to $2.00 a gallon - and I was scared white about it - that I can't do this - I have nothing left at the end of my paycheck now- and he said - don't worry. It will never go above 1.98. And I said how do you know (naively)? - And I am telling you he said - that was the break point to go to syns. That this had been planned out - a contingency.

No lobbyist - no university pablum - no oil company propaganda -no bullshit - just straight talk. Father to son. And he knew oil. The raids to Zietz and all that during the war - he was there - he killed those German syn plants then. Boy, he knew oil.

I don't think we could switch - I know we can.

There is a thing called US Synthetic Fuels Corporation - open the records - Ask Mr. Carter about it.
Those records were closed in 1981 - Mr. Jimmy Carter - you really did have their full attention - more than you know. Those are our records now!!

Then - the oil companies - they were the 7 sisters - they did oil. They have been consolidated so many times now. They used to be run by engineers - you know. People wanting to produce something - now just lawyers dealing some commodity - no original thought whatsoever.

It wasn't always so. It doesn't have to be so now.

We have to do this!

Joe

1. OPEC didn't have an oil embargo in 1979.

3. There was also an oil crisis in 1979.
Just as phony and contrived as the first.

5. There was an energy crisis in 1979
It was related to the Iranian revolution, overthrowing of the Shah of Iran. I remember it, too, had just started my first job out of college. Lots of long lines at the gas pump.

Political events were very much like today, poppy and the others were getting rid of Carter to make way for Reagan.

But there was a 73 emargo and then a 79 emargo - all from Saudi -

and then it appears some kind of deal was made.

A deal with the devil.

Oh - I ain't looking on google- I was there.

And I am quite correct about this one.

7. Read your history books.

The 1973 oil embargo was a defined OPEC action against the United States for backing Israel in the 1973 Yom Kippur war.

There was no such action in 1979 by OPEC. 1979 was simply a supply crisis.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1979_energy_crisis

Saudi Arabia actually increased production during that time, but it was not enough to offset the loss of Iranian production.

4. Hey Joe- I was just thinking about you.
And here you are-

Yes, it is all manipulated.
Carter was a member of the Trilateral Commission, as were most of the
people who surrounded him.

That's all we really need to know.
The TC is alive and well, running our country today.

8. I am telling you - point blank - President Carter thought he was
getting shit on - he did. Maybe he was.

He caused the Mellons and those people to seriously rethink the business - HE DID THAT!!

And they did rethink it.

Admittedly - dad thought well of Carter - most of the sisters did not. He represented change - and I remind you - those people had gotten the shit knocked out of them at that point - in South America and West Africa. They knew what nationalization meant -you know??

In most counties - in public lands - there is sufficient shale reserves to get us where we have to go now - they knew. And they knew how to do it too. They planned it out. And they were the best of the best in the business.

Carter - was generally detested by those people - but there were some, that understood the consequences - fought the bastards we were using -and they knew better - and they were engineers and they ran many of those companies.

Joe
