If a poster has a thread locked, does that somehow effect his/her status at DU? I mean, is there a 3-locked-posts-and-you-are-out rule? Or does it depend on why the thread got locked in individual cases?

11. To Answer Your Question, Sir, As Best I Can

There is no 'three strikes and you're out' rule. We always consider things on an individual basis, and take into account specific circumstances. Accounts are shut down only when a pattern of sustained mis-behavior is established. Locking of threads and removal of posts, and certainly closing of accounts, is always done through discussion among the moderators, and only when there is a clear consensus such an action is the best course to take.
