Well, Tweety just finished interviewing two guys who were supposed to debate the Gonzo situation.
The only problem is that they agreed with each other. :wow:

Tweety had on Bruce Fein, a former Reagan DOJ official, and Stan Brand, a former House counsel. And Fein--the REAGAN guy--said that Schumer and Leahy have to begin impeachment proceedings because "the president has the duty to faithfully execute, not sabotage, the law." Reiterating that point a few seconds later, he said, "Impeachment has got to be the road, if the president does not faithfully execute the law."

1. Bush has no clue what the laws are and doesn't want to know
he's only interested in what he wants

18. I would like to see a turn around
I really think he should be impeached, they suppressed votes in 4 states (this is just the tip of the iceberg). He is someone
who does not represent the American people at all. It's like having Ken Lay as president.

4. Not really. He was somewhere between neutral and on the same side as Fein.
That was my impression, anyway.

9. Tweety oft debates himself on there
His show would be so much better with some tape properly applied.

I remember them. It's good to know there are still a few around.

10. Apparently so.
To paraphrase another - John Dean - Fein is a conservative with conscience.

Go figure.

11. He was agreeing with Fein.
I was so busy trying to transcribe Fein, that I didn't get his part down, verbatim. But the two were in just about complete agreement that this situation is very bad for Gonzo and Bush.

17. That tells me that Tweetser's bookers want to follow the money.
As far as the corporate media go, Keith has more or less singlehandedly opened up a crack in the dam of outrage, and it seems to be turning into a bit of a deluge. Meanwhile, Tweety rolls whichever way will get him the ratings.

13. Fein has thrown all caution to the wind...
He's popping up all over the place advocating impeachment. It's refreshing to see a conservative WITH conscience.

15. There are still some conservatives who respect the rule of law.
They just don't usually work for the American Enterprise Institute or the Heritage Foundation, so they rarely get on TV. I suggest they start their own party, since the GOP is clearly lost.
