Can we discuss about what we need to do concerning getting the truth out to American citizens,
always staying mindful of, but without worrying about, how or why we got here in the first place, that matters not now. We're here and we all know we are and pretty much in agreement with each other, so I would like to bat some ideas around to see if someone maybe can hit a home run so to say. I wonder if an email campaign telling the m$m's in each of our own words, not someone else's but each of ours that we are well aware of what is going on in the world and we're get that information via the internet or whatever one gets their info from and that we know they are if not outright lying to us then obfuscating the truth and we will only be watching and or listening to document the errors the omissions and outright lies.

1. Without an impeachment inquiry, it isn't coming from the press.
Word of mouth I guess.

4. talk about a catch 22
can't impeach because we don't have the votes because the truth isn't being told to the masses because the press isn't doing their jobs and we need to start rattling their cages and on and on, whewww, I'm getting tired from all this

2. Fairness doctrine?
It's a start.

I think the major problem is that without the FD, news is strictly about ratings--and sadly, most Americans do not want to hear the truth.

Anyone who doesn't know, doesn't want to know. They are backwash.

The question is now what do we do?

7. Black armbands are a start
Edited on Mon Jul-23-07 02:12 PM by Babsbrain
Wear them in mourning for our country. Or black wristbands.(Unless that color is already taken for colon cancer awareness or whatever).

15. Just do it
Go to Walgrens or wherever. Buy a black hair elastic. Put around your left wrist. If enough people do this, the word will get around. For God's sake...do something!

9. You're asking a difficult question, don't get pissed.
Most people here already write e-mails to news sources and such. We've all been scratching our heads for years about this. I find it very frustrating too, but don't act like you're the 1st person to ask this question and we're all dunderheads who just don't get it.

12. No, many don't realize how bad the truth is. MSM is not covering so much and without
that knowledge, people aren't getting pissed off enough.

17. Only one problem, making them believe what you are trying to warn
them about! I have told so many, just to have them poo-poo it and scoff as if I'm full of shit and don't what I am talking about. So this is a very tricky thing to deal with!

18. no one said it would be easy, and yes what you're saying is so true
thats part of what I'm talking about, because they hear it on the evening news they think it is true when very little on the evening news would pass a factual test, if there is such a thing, imo

8. I'm for an invention that would fit on top of your TV or radio
that would turn on a blinking red light or a siren when someone on told a lie. Sure, your house would be lit up and noisy alot at first, but it might lead to truth. (Wishful thinking). I have written to the media several times, most recently to CNN to protest Sanjay Gupta's mangling of the facts when he interviewed M Moore. Wolfie said they would make a detraction if the facts were found but never did to my knowledge.

13. yes I just reminded them again this morning I have cut the cord
with them and that that is the straw that broke my back. I'm on day 13 now with about a half dozen emails to them reminding them of my quitting watching or listening to their shows. I'm only one person but maybe someone who matters will be touched by what I say and they will listen, one can Hope
