Islamic Creationist And A Book Sent Round The World

Subject: Islamic Creationist And A Book Sent Round The World
Let me get this straight. A cargo-container-size shipment of individually wrapped objects about 11 x 17 inches and 12 pounds in weight each comes from Istanbul, Turkey. Everything, each item in the shipment, is postage prepaid and address labeled to go. The items are to be sent to university academics all around the United States.

The whole operation is set up by an Islamic crank who babbles about anti-Koran "deceit" inherent in a scientific theory. This instigator is a Muslim fundamentalist named Adnan Oktar, but he also goes by the alias, Harun Yahya. He is unreachable by telephone or e-mail.

Yet this shipment goes through U.S. customs unchecked? And these items are allowed to be delivered turning up, unsolicited to each and every professor via the U.S. mail system?

Does anyone else see a problem with this event besides me?

2. My co-worker edited the English version of that book.
We are copy-editors and he occasionally does free-lance editing.

I mean, what are the moronic fucking waterhead "scientists" (cough) at the Discovery Institute going to do when they find out that people overseas can produce mindless lies, anti-scientific gargbage and thinly veiled Theocratic gobbledygook for pennies on the dollar?

Outsourcing, indeed.

4. Homeland Security is a joke
they are not protecting our ports.

And Islamic creationism is another outgrowth of extreme fundamentalism, which imho is an abborration of the faith, beit Christian or Muslim. Muslims were on the forefront of science during the European Dark Ages, and kept alive the books and teachings of the ancients. Modern Muslims are scientists, too--after all, to understand science is to better understand God's creation.
