The forum, with the seven leading Democratic candidates, will be broadcast live from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. CDT (7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. EDT) on MSNBC and XM Satellite Radio.

Olbermann, whose journalism credentials include several Emmys and an Edward R. Murrow Award for his coverage of the events and aftermath of the Sept. 11 terrorists attacks, says he is “honored” for the>>>snip

At last!

One can only hope that he will be the first to demand that they actually answer the questions asked rather than continue with their stump speeches in front of the cameras.

3. About time. The focus of this campaign needs to be on what is happening
here in the US.

For once the focus needs to veer away from our invading and bombing and turn to how people are struggling because they haven't gotten a raise (or a decent job) for the last five years.

"Confirmed candidates for the forum are: Sens. Joe Biden, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Chris Dodd and Barack Obama, former Sen. John Edwards, Rep. Dennis Kucinich and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson."

6. I hope they use the question I submitted:
NCLB is built on a philosophy of threat and bribe through high-stakes testing, with the focus on threat and punish. Under NCLB, public education has become a testing industry, and has benefited testing and publishing corporations while narrowing curriculum and degrading opportunities for learning.

Do you support repealing or sunsetting NCLB and replacing it with something that empowers teachers and students, rather then depowers them? If so, what would you replace it with? If not, do you support high-stakes testing and the resulting effects on public education?

Teachers, students, and their families want to know.
