Good News on the automobile front
This is pretty amazing. Something tells me that this vehicle is going to change everything. If the technology that created it goes public, it'll help immensely.

*****

A fast new car that runs on fuel-vapor is making hybrids seem like gas guzzlers. It also gives off 75% less CO2 emissions than the average hybrid. The fun part is that the new car handles a lot more like a sports car than you’d expect from such an eco-friendly vehicle, and you can drive it as fast as 140mph—assuming there are no cops around.

1. I'd live to take it for a spin. Still side by side seating is the norm,
Until they design one with side by side seating, they won't sell.

3. I think others will probably make use of the technology,
even if THIS company doesn't, to do just that.

6. Mileage might be compromised, but if it gets 50-60 mpg, that is
a good start.

2. I wish this vehicle could be put on the fast track as a production car..........
I'm certain congress will find a way to slow its availability for big oil.

4. It's not a car, it's much closer to a motorcycle with a full fairing

And this matters how? Hint: stochiometric burning of
gasoline always uses a 14.7:1 air:fuel ratio. Diesels,
on the other hand, run at leaner mixtures, often much
leaner.

But golly, that statistic sure does *SOUND* impressive,
doesn't it? Almost like they're trying to tell you
something useful!

5. If it produces enough torque to pull the camper/boat then it's got promise.
Americans have decided they want large vehicles with payload and towing capacity. They'll cut back on other purchases to keep that. -- the last 2 years has proven that. Putting hybrids in Expeditions etc has been difficult because of the demands put on the electric part of the cycle. If this technology can produce enough power for America's big vehicles then it's got real possibilities.

Now if the best it can do is a 3 wheel 2 seater, like what's pictured, then it's still has a ways to go.

I know I sound like a naysayer, I don't mean to. I think it has promise and I really hope it can eventually be used for more than just a "niche" market.

7. How do you keep from holing the pistons?
20:1 is SERIOUSLY lean, and running an engine lean is bad for it.
